Scotland Surgical & GI is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing General Surgery team in Scotland County, North Carolina. This full-time opportunity offers a blend of outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient rounding support alongside a collaborative team of experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of APP experience and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered care. Gastroenterology experience is a plus but not required.

Brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic facility
On-site endoscopy suite
Collaborative team environment with strong physician and APP mentorship
Work alongside 3 General Surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
Established patient base and supportive clinical staff
No call responsibilities
No night or weekend rotations

Four days per week
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hybrid inpatient/outpatient role
Outpatient clinic responsibilities
Inpatient rounding support as needed
No ICU coverage required
No admissions responsibilities

Responsibilities

→Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in collaboration with supervising physicians
→Conduct follow-up and postoperative visits
→Provide inpatient rounding support for surgical patients
→Develop and implement treatment plans
→Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and postoperative care
→Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in thearea of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification preferred based population served.

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current or eligible North Carolina licensure
DEA certification or eligibility
Minimum of one year of APP experience in any specialty
Ability to obtain hospital privileges at assigned facilities

✓Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.

✓Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.

✓Performs a wide range of surgical and/or medical procedures.
