$59.00 - $88.50

This position offers a high level of autonomy, strong physician mentorship, and the opportunity to develop specialized orthopaedic trauma expertise within one of the region's leading trauma programs.

Full-time, 1.0 FTE position
Dedicated night-shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Inpatient orthopaedic trauma practice
Level I Trauma Center environment
Work directly with four Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship-trained physicians
Collaborative team of experienced Advanced Practice Providers
High degree of clinical autonomy with structured support and education
Comprehensive procedural training provided
Hospital-based practice with no call requirements outside scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

→Evaluate, assess, and manage orthopaedic trauma patients in the inpatient setting
→Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
→Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
→Respond to orthopaedic trauma consults and patient care needs during overnight hours
→Assist in the management of fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, and post-operative patients
→Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies
→Perform procedures within scope of practice and according to departmental training and competency standards
→Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
→Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and procedural notes in the electronic medical record
→Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental educational activities
→Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirements

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

NCCPA certification required
Eligible for or currently holding a Georgia Physician Assistant license
DEA certification or eligibility, if applicable
BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within organizational guidelines

New graduates are encouraged to apply
Previous orthopaedic, surgical, emergency medicine, trauma, or inpatient experience preferred but not required
