Abacus Consulting is seeking an experienced Product Owner to define and manage products that support the Software Engineering Centre of Excellence (CoE) strategy while delivering solutions aligned with market and customer needs. The successful candidate will bridge business and technical teams by translating requirements into practical solutions and driving product vision, scope, and implementation across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage product vision, scope, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and product enhancements.
  • Support product design, test cases, and business process workflows.
  • Assess the feasibility and business impact of proposed projects and enhancements.
  • Understand the commercial importance of product changes and new features.
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand business functions, value chains, products, and services.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Challenge and refine business requirements to ensure business intent is clearly understood.

Requirements

  • Gather, analyze, document, validate, and communicate business requirements across Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Translate business data into actionable insights for process and system improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant Agile, Scrum, Product Ownership, or Project Management certifications are advantageous.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to create and manage product documentation, workflows, and business process designs.
  • Strong presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and related tools.
