As a Weekend Caregiver at Abbington Manor, you can expect to play a vital role in providing assistance and support to our residents every Saturday and Sunday. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include helping residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued. You will engage in social activities, promote mobility, and offer companionship, creating a warm atmosphere where residents can thrive. Your typical schedule will be set from 7 AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 11 PM each weekend, allowing for flexibility. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

With clear communication and established routines, you'll quickly become familiar with the specific needs of each individual, making your weekends both rewarding and impactful.

To excel as a Weekend Caregiver at Abbington Manor, several key skills and qualifications are essential. A CNA certification is required, or you should be willing to obtain one within four months of starting. Proficiency in patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is crucial, as you will be directly involved in ensuring residents' comfort and well-being. You should be familiar with vital signs monitoring and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for our residents. While CPR certification is preferred, strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital in building trust and rapport with residents and colleagues alike.

Being dependable and a team player is also essential, as you'll work collaboratively with fellow caregivers and health care professionals to provide the best possible care. These skills will help you thrive in this rewarding role, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for our residents.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
