As the Commercial Excellence & Operations Manager, you will drive commercial and business excellence through the design, planning, and implementation of commercial processes and initiatives to maximize top and bottom-line results. This role is responsible for owning Country Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, driving standardized processes and tools to enable commercial performance excellence on sales revenue and margin, while guiding, monitoring, analyzing, and providing expertise on business integration and alignment.
Responsibilities
~2 min read• Own the Country Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews process.
• Report on changes in business and market dynamics, enabling the development of contingency plans to exploit opportunities and mitigate vulnerabilities to close strategic and business gaps.
• Ensure timely and effective communication and close-out of key decisions, escalations, and action items arising from business reviews.
• Drive forecast accuracy for sales revenue and instrument demand/placements.
• Champion implementation and adoption of commercial cadence and customer business reviews across territories by coaching and guiding Front-Line Sales Managers.
• Track, monitor, and analyze sales performance to drive accountability and identify best-in-class practices.
• Contribute to the development of long-term go-to-market strategies for key commercial markets and strengthen Commercial Excellence Systems, Processes, and Analytics.
• Act as a key partner between country, regional, and global teams.
• Drive value creation, expansion activities, and revenue realization through effective implementation of regional programs.
• Manage initiatives that support sales growth and gross margin improvement across assigned markets.
• Ensure alignment and effective application of sales processes and related tools for Enterprise Sales and Customer Experience teams.
• Lead the annual rollout of global incentive plans and country-specific Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIF) programs.
• Manage sales incentive tools, administration, and calculations.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Marketing, Service Leaders, General Managers, and Regional Leadership Teams to ensure alignment on key business priorities and commercial initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required.
• Postgraduate credentials (MBA) in Business, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Analytics, or Operations preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience with a proven track record in FP&A, Commercial Excellence, and/or Commercial Operations roles.
• Experience within healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise collaborating with senior business leaders at both country and regional levels.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Strong management capabilities with the ability to lead and operate within cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure.
• Prior people management experience.
• Demonstrated success influencing change through strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in data analysis, evaluation, and reporting to senior leadership.
