  • Reporting directly to the ADC (Diabetes Care) Controller in France, the key responsibilities of the FP&A Manager include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Lead the France LBE (Last Best Estimate) process, ensuring high standards of forecast accuracy and alignment with CDR process (Commercial Demand Review) by business partnering with all relevant stakeholders
  • Management of one direct person
  • Coordinate and manage forecast accuracy goals and targets throughout France mainland and overseas
  • Lead all FP&A activities for France to include maintenance of LBE submissions, management of monthly closing and daily sales reporting
  • Issue strategic recommendations to facilitate and optimize commercial positions (channels profitability, products/partnerships, new product implementation, end of life)
  • Ensure that internal controls are applied and properly implemented in compliance with Abbott’s internal standards, policies and procedures in place

             

  • Ensuring models and business analysis are completed accurately and on time
  • Contribute to achievement of forecast accuracy KPIs by working closely with Demand manager and commercial excellence
  • Financial planning and actuals analysis for France mainland and overseas across channels
  • Ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements

  • Manage month-end close (monthly, quarterly, yearly) in interaction with Financial teams and Commercial stakeholders, particularly on gross to net sales and expenses
  • Prepare and validate the accruals and commissions related to Sales (Gross to Net, Government Rebates, Commissions to Pharmacy Chains)
  • Prepare and validate in coordination with relevant Support services the accruals for SG&A (Opex) spend, Freight & Distribution
  • Prepare and validate the accruals related to bonus/tax in support of the Controller
  • Review and validate the Journal Entries for B2B/B2C Pharmacy Sales in coordination with financial team
  • Ensure requested bookings are properly recorded and match expectations

  • Perform gap analysis between actuals and forecasts by P&L line, Balance Sheet line; Identify risks/opportunities and develop mitigation plans to deliver expected perform for sales & margin within the forecast accuracy target
  • Prepare and validate with the ADC Controller France the reporting package on actuals vs. forecasts for P&L & Balance Sheet, with a focus on sales, gross margin fall through and accounts receivable/DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
  • Identify the root cause for variance, develop analysis plan and control to reduce observed gaps vs. forecasts and reach targets
  • Prepare presentation decks for highlights, S&OP, Commercial Demand Review (finance) and LBE 
  • Prepare forecasting package in dedicated systems (DODECA) and reporting templates for EMEA/Global
  • Work on Risks/Opportunities alternative scenario to assess financial impacts based on probability
  • Work on resubmission / recycles as per timelines & guidance communicated

  • Track forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for growth in sales / margin
  • Review specific spend and propose a yearly action plan to reduce costs on identified buckets with the support of Procurement (T&E, internal meetings, prints, consulting)
  • Optimize cash flow management by working on Ageing Customer Balance, Doubtful Customers, DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) & DSO

  • Support profitability analysis to design optimized commercial offers (Hospitals, Pharmacies)
  • Produce recommendation to orient strategy towards the most profitable/high potential business areas

  • Support and relay best practices for internal controls via training and ad hoc checks, especially on Purchasing, No Charge Products, Samples

  • Master’s Degree or above from a Business School with a major in Finance / Cost Control / Audit
  • 10 to 15-year work experience in Finance in mutinational companies
  • High level of numeracy
  • Organization and delegation skills to manage workload across multiple stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate and present cross-functionally
  • Ability to handle pressured timelines calmly
  • Patience and understanding to coach and develop direct report
  • English : Good level
