The position of Head of Marketing & Sales Scientific (m/f/d) is within the Infectious Diseases Business Unit, based at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Germany GmbH in Cologne, and reports to the General Manager DACH.
The Marketing & Sales Scientific is responsible for defining and driving the strategic marketing and scientific sales support direction across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The role translates regional and global business objectives into sustainable growth strategies, effective customer engagement initiatives and successful commercialization of the Infectious Diseases portfolio.
The position serves as the functional leader for Marketing and Sales Scientific activities in the region and is accountable for marketing strategy, product commercialization, key opinion leader engagement, scientific customer engagement, application excellence and business performance. The role provides leadership to the Marketing, Operations and Sales Scientific & Application function and ensures alignment between customer needs, market opportunities, clinical insights and commercial objectives.
Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience within the in-vitro diagnostics industry.
- Demonstrated experience marketing technical and clinically relevant products within a diagnostics, laboratory or healthcare environment.
- Proven experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans with measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated experience translating market insights, customer needs and business objectives into commercial marketing strategies.
- Proven experience supporting product launch and commercialization activities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct people management and team development.
- Proven experience working with Key Opinion Leaders, clinical stakeholders and healthcare professionals.
- Experience developing customer engagement, training or education strategies.
- Strong understanding of customer value creation, market segmentation, competitive positioning and portfolio strategy.
- Experience working closely with commercial leadership teams to drive business growth and market development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, business performance indicators and customer insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
