You will provide technical and project leadership for initiatives focused on the evaluation, improvement, and remediation of chemical processes across manufacturing and development operations. You will lead cross-functional efforts to assess process performance, investigate deviations, and identify root causes, driving effective corrective and preventive actions.
You will review and approve analytical data to support critical process decisions, ensuring scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with quality standards. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams, you will help optimize processes and deliver sustainable solutions.
As a subject matter expert in chemical processes, you will guide method application, data interpretation, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring all activities align with established procedures, quality systems, and project goals.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →You will define project resource requirements and collaborate with functional leaders to ensure the right technical expertise is available.
- →You will lead and coordinate cross-functional project activities, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- →You will provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support team development and knowledge sharing.
- →You will conduct research to develop, improve, or remediate analytical methods, techniques, and procedures.
- →You will develop and apply analytical test methods to evaluate the quantity, quality, and purity of compounds.
- →You will author clear and concise technical reports detailing findings, root cause analyses, and improvement recommendations.
- →You will carry out exploratory research to deepen technical understanding and assess new technologies or analytical tools.
- →You will evaluate relationships between molecular structure and physical properties to support analysis and decision-making.
- →You will review analytical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and scientific validity.
- →You will approve analytical data within defined authority levels (excluding final product disposition decisions).
You will bring an NFQ Level 7 qualification (full credits) in a relevant discipline along with 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
You will demonstrate strong expertise in a chemical or technical discipline, along with a solid understanding of cross-functional dependencies and business impact. You will be recognised as a technical specialist within your team and across functions, operating effectively within a regulated environment where compliance is critical.
You will solve complex technical and process challenges by analysing multiple variables and applying sound judgment. You will select appropriate methods and approaches while considering implications for cost, quality, compliance, and timelines.
You will provide technical leadership without direct authority, influencing stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and senior management. You will lead projects or workstreams and act as a mentor and trusted advisor, supporting the development of others.
You will plan and manage complex project assignments involving multiple stakeholders, setting clear priorities, milestones, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
You will make informed scientific and technical decisions that directly impact project outcomes, process performance, and business objectives.
You will receive: minimal direction and will operate with a high level of autonomy, with work reviewed periodically for alignment with broader goals.
You will provide: technical guidance, mentorship, and coordination support, without formal line management responsibility.
