Senior Safety Officer ( Oil & Gas industry )

The Senior Safety Officer at ABIS will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards and compliance within the oil and gas industry operations. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring safety procedures, and leading safety training initiatives to minimize workplace hazards and incidents. The Senior Safety Officer will collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to promote a safe working environment and continuous improvement in safety performance.

• →Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs specific to the oil and gas industry for Shutdown / turnaround.
• →Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• →Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• →Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
• →Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• →Advise management on safety matters and participate in emergency response planning.
• →Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.

• →Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• →Minimum 5-7 years of experience in safety roles within the oil and gas industry.
• →Strong knowledge of industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• →Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• →Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• →Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks effectively.
