The Building Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment. This role ensures the facility is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while providing a high level of service to tenants and stakeholders.

✓Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
✓Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
✓Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and identify potential issues
✓Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner
✓Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
✓Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
✓Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance
✓Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability efforts
✓Assist with emergency response and after-hours issues as needed
✓Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical and work areas
✓High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
✓3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering role
✓Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
✓Experience with building automation systems preferred
✓Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, or Journeyman license) a plus
✓Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✓Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
✓Good communication and customer service skills
✓Basic computer skills for work orders and reporting systems
✓Attention to detail and commitment to safety
