The Building Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment. This role ensures the facility is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while providing a high level of service to tenants and stakeholders.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and identify potential issues
Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance
Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability efforts
Assist with emergency response and after-hours issues as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical and work areas
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering role
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Experience with building automation systems preferred
Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, or Journeyman license) a plus
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Good communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills for work orders and reporting systems
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
