Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. Starting Pay: $23/hour for non-acuity; $33/hour for acuity
$1,000 signing bonus paid when averaging 20+ hours/week paid in 3 installments: 90 days ($333), 6 months ($333), and 12 months ($334)
Responsibilities

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence at home, in the community, and in the workplace. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference and contribute to someone’s journey towards a more meaningful life. Responsibilities will include:
- →Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals
- →Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
- →Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
- →Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
- →Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills
- →Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
- →Communicating with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
- →Completing documentation and maintaining schedules
- →Completing in ongoing training and professional development

- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support
