Our Asia Pacific Investments business has a large, dedicated and highly experienced investment team which has been investing across the region since 1985, and manages all our Asian products, including regional, country, smaller companies, and sustainable investing propositions.
The team has a strong regional footprint with offices in Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, and Sydney. This breadth gives us close proximity to the companies we own and the markets we invest in. Our APAC operations have been based in Singapore since 1992. We invest in Asian companies to grow with them and to help them to become better investors
Responsibilities
~2 min read1. Product Management & Product Development
- →Support the management and growth of the Thailand FIF platform.
- →Monitor product performance, fund flows, performance attribution, portfolio characteristics and competitive positioning across relevant asset classes.
- →Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends across multiple asset classes.
- →Coordinate with regional and global investment teams on product enhancements and new initiatives.
- →Support product governance and lifecycle management activities.
- →Assist in launching, repositioning and developing new investment products and strategies.
- →Lead product development initiatives and product enhancement projects.
- →Develop business cases for new funds and investment solutions.
- →support product strategy and positioning across key client segments.
- →Act as subject matter expert for assigned investment capabilities.
2. Investment Specialist Responsibilities
- →Support client-facing teams with:
- →Investment insights
- →Market outlooks
- →Product positioning
- →Competitive intelligence
- →Prepare fund commentaries, market notes, investment presentations, and training materials.
- →Translate global investment views into local client messaging.
- →Deliver training to relationship managers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
- →Represent investment capabilities in client meetings.
- →Participate in institutional, intermediary, wholesale, and HNW investor presentations.
- →Support roadshows, seminars, and investment events.
- →Act as an investment specialist for assigned strategies and asset classes.
3. Fund Management & Investment Oversight
Subject to licensing requirements:
- →Support portfolio implementation activities.
- →Coordinate with offshore portfolio management teams.
- →Monitor hedging activities and currency management.
- →Support liquidity and cash management activities.
- →Ensure compliance with Thai SEC requirements.
- →Monitor portfolio risks and investment performance.
- →Support fund governance and oversight processes.
- →Provide oversight for fund implementation and governance matters.
- →Support strategic investment platform decisions.
4. Business Development & Strategic Support
- →Identify new investment opportunities and market trends.
- →Support strategic partnerships with offshore investment managers.
- →Assist in AUM growth initiatives.
- →Contribute to annual business planning and product strategy reviews.
- →Evaluate opportunities across multiple asset classes and investment capabilities.
- →Contribute to broader investment platform strategy.
5. Governance, Regulatory & Risk Management
- →Ensure product structures comply with Thai SEC requirements.
- →Support regulatory submissions and approvals.
- →Monitor developments affecting offshore investment products.
- →Participate in governance committees and management reporting.
- →Maintain strong operational and risk-control standards.
Requirements
- →5 years’ experience in:
- →Asset management
- →Foreign Investment Funds
- →Multi-Asset Solutions
- →Foreign / offshore investment funds
- →Product or investment roles
- →Strong exposure to:
- →Cross-border fund structures
- →International investment products
- →Experience working with institutional, wholesale RMs and direct HNW clients.
Regulatory & Licensing
- →Thai SEC Fund Manager License (mandatory)
- →Strong understanding of Thai fund regulations and offshore investment rules.
