The Performance Analyst sits at the centre of Aberdeen’s investment reporting capability. Working closely with portfolio managers, investment specialists, Risk, Governance, Legal and Compliance teams, the department ensures performance, attribution, risk and GIPS information is accurate, controlled and decision-ready. The team combines technical expertise, analytical thinking and continuous improvement to support investment decision-making, client reporting and regulatory requirements.
About the Role
~1 min readThis is a highly visible role responsible for producing and overseeing performance reporting that supports clients, consultants, governance forums and senior stakeholders across Aberdeen. You will blend performance measurement expertise with stakeholder engagement, data analysis and process improvement to ensure reporting remains accurate, timely and trusted. The role offers broad exposure across investment products, governance processes and regulatory requirements, while providing opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and reporting quality. It is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist investment performance expertise and make a meaningful impact across the business.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own the production, review and oversight of investment performance reporting and related analysis.
- →Deliver high-quality performance data for RFPs, consultants, client-facing activity and governance reporting.
- →Support GIPS compliance processes, monthly production activities and annual external verification requirements.
- →Produce regulatory and business-critical outputs including SRRI calculations, MPS performance data and Assessment of Value analysis.
- →Investigate data issues, strengthen controls and drive continuous improvement through technology and AI-enabled efficiencies.
- →Collaborate with stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Governance, Legal, Compliance and external providers to ensure trusted reporting.
- Experience working with investment performance measurement, attribution, reporting or investment data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and control.
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and translating complex data into clear insights.
- Knowledge of performance reporting tools such as FactSet, Bi-Sam, Morningstar or similar platforms.
- Interest in process improvement, innovation and practical application of AI tools within reporting environments.
