Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Service Specialist with experience in Investor Services or Custody to serve as a single point of coordination for custody service delivery, ensuring proactive communication, effective issue resolution, and a consistently high-quality client experience.As a Custody and/or Investor Services Client Service Specialist your key responsibilities will include some of the following;
- Driving structured client engagement, including relationship meetings, due diligence and service reviews, where required.
- Managing the client experience, including complaints, feedback and service improvements.
- Providing market intelligence and client communication, including newsflashes and insights.
- Supporting client onboarding and migration processes.
- Building strong internal networks across CRM, Sales, Product, and Operations.
- Driving adoption of the custody portal.
- Driving adoption of automated account opening.
- Aligning onboarding processes with Operations and BIO.
- Adhering to service level agreements by ensuring alignment with required turnaround times.
- Coordinating engagement across Operations, Settlements and Asset Servicing teams.
- Coordinating the prompt investigation and closure of client concerns and exceptions.
- Monitoring custody service performance across settlements, corporate actions, cash management and safekeeping.
- Ensuring service delivery meets agreed service levels and client expectations.
- Providing performance reporting and service reviews.
- Facilitating regular governance meetings to review service performance, risks and opportunities.
- Communicating market developments, regulatory changes and industry initiatives.
- Assisting clients in understanding market, regulatory and industry impacts on portfolios and operations

- Diploma or Certificate (NQF Level 6).
- 5 years or more Custody experience within Investor Services.
- Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements, including Strate Rules.
- Understanding of custody processes.
- Knowledge of SWIFT message standards related to the custody industry.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing environment.
