Job Summary
The credit analyst role involves carrying out quality credit assessments and analysis on potential and existing clients within the bank´s portfolio.To work within existing credit policies and in-country regulatory requirements to support the structuring of appropriate bankable solutions for the client
This role will involve ensuring that the agreed asset quality of the CIB Credit portfolio is maintained, by ensuring completion of interim reviews, annual reviews and on-going monitoring and control.
- To conduct quality credit risk assessments and reviews
- Based on analysis conducted, support in the structuring of lending solutions for the client, that will account for the potential threats to the client and that is within set credit limits and the Bank's credit lending policies and appetite.
- Respond to sanctioned enquiries and/or attend Credit Committee meetings to present credit applications
- Challenge pricing in order to maximize value. Ultimate sign off at a customer level remains with Business Heads
- Ensure that the Bank's credit policies, philosophy and all relevant legislation are fully complied with at all times and that any policy breaches have been suitably addressed and mitigated against.
- Ensure that all covenants are measured and reported during the review or new credit application process.
- Drive RWA efficiencies through ensuring that the data in terms of Default Grades (DG's), Loss Given Defaults (LGD's), limits and review dates are correctly captured on the Bank's credit systems
- Provide solution-driven support to business to facilitate growth initiatives, whilst maintaining a healthy balance between risk and reward.
- Communicate and interact regularly with business stakeholders
