Job Summary

The Senior Manager: Technology Strategy & Performance is responsible supporting PPB Technology strategy execution, making sure that the strategy is clearly articulated, aligned across CIO domains, and supported by a robust performance framework that tracks delivery, value realisation, and business outcomes. The role serves as the analytical and execution backbone for strategy development and performance management, enabling technology to engage with the PPB business with credible, data-driven insight.

    • Support the development, articulation, and annual refresh of the PPB Technology strategy narrative
    • Coordinate CIO domain strategy alignment, tracking where BU technology roadmaps connect to the PPB Technology agenda
    • Maintain the PPB Technology operating model documentation, ensuring it is current and aligned to strategic direction
    • Conduct horizon scanning, synthesising industry trends and emerging technology developments into strategy-relevant briefings
    • Prepare strategy briefings, roadmap updates, and supporting materials for the CIO, Exco, and board forums
    • Support scenario planning and strategic trade-off analysis to inform investment and prioritisation decisions

 

    • Maintain the PPB Technology 3-year roadmap, tracking progress against committed milestones across all CIO domains
    • Produce quarterly roadmap status updates, highlighting progress, risks, and required adjustments
    • Support the annual strategy refresh cycle, preparing inputs, facilitating cross-domain alignment workshops, and documenting outcomes
    • Track the introduction and adoption of new technologies in collaboration with Engineering and Architecture functions

 

    • Maintain the PPB Technology performance framework: scorecards, KPIs, and dashboards across all CIO portfolios
    • Produce monthly and quarterly technology performance reports, consolidating delivery, financial, productivity, and risk data
    • Translate performance data into clear executive insight and narrative for the CIO, Exco, and Group decision-making forums
    • Track and report on in-year technology outcomes against the agreed PPB Technology Scorecard
    • Ensure consistent and transparent performance measurement standards are applied across all CIO domains

 

What We Offer

Establish and maintain a benefits realisation framework, tracking technology investments from commitment through to measurable outcomes
Produce the quarterly Value Realisation Report, consolidating benefits delivery evidence across the portfolio
Support the Tech Exco in identifying and communicating the business value delivered through technology (e.g. AI, cost reduction, revenue)
Ensure alignment between strategic priorities, funding allocation, and realised value across CIO portfolios
    • Prepare high-quality performance packs, board submissions, and Exco briefing materials
    • Maintain a consistent reporting calendar, ensuring submissions are prepared to standard and on time
    • Manage the performance data infrastructure, ensuring dashboards and tracking tools are accurate and maintained
    • Provide analytical and drafting support for the engagements with Group Technology, PPB Exco and other governance forums

 

    • 5–7 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, technology performance, or related functions
    • Experience working within or closely with technology organisations in financial services or complex enterprises
    • Demonstrated ability to develop performance frameworks, scorecards, and executive-level reports
    • Experience translating strategy into roadmaps, tracking tools, and performance narratives
    • Proven ability to synthesise complex data into clear executive insight and written communication
    • Familiarity with technology strategy frameworks (e.g. Gartner, McKinsey, Forrester)
    • Experience with benefits realisation methodologies or investment value tracking
