Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide small-group instruction across multiple English and literacy courses
- Progress monitor and support course completion, with CER metrics aligned to network goals
- Maintain consistent student and family communication, including progress monitoring for at-risk learners
- Support district and state test preparation
- Monitor student online and onsite participation
- Attend weekly team huddles to discuss student progress and social-emotional growth
- Implement the district-wide intervention plan (progress learning), including reading intervention and writing workshops
- Provide remediation and enrichment to address learning gaps and accelerate success
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy's mission
- Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team
- Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement
- Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
- Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
- Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success
- Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events
- Collaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways, transition strategies, and incentive plans
- Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy’s mission
Requirements
~1 min read- Reading interventionist credentials
- Experience working with IEP/504 students
- ESOL experience
- Exposure to students who have been involved with the juvenile justice system
- Familiarity with G Suite and Focus
- Experience in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
