Agentic Data Governance Specialist (AI&Data)
Quick Summary

Contribute to governance approaches for distributed and scalable data architectures, including domain-oriented ownership, federated governance models, and metadata-driven practices that enable continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, InfoSec, Compliance, and AI teams to embed governance principles into technical and operational processes and translate business needs into practical implementation approaches.
Guide clients in defining and implementing semantic layer standards, including SKOS, RDF, and SML as foundational infrastructure for modern Data & AI platforms.
Design and operationalize semantic layers, business glossaries, and taxonomies; develop ontology and knowledge-graph-driven data models that link business meaning to physical data assets, including in agentic and LLM environments.
Solid working knowledge of knowledge graphs and ontologies and their application in modelling complex relationships between business entities across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
Participate in client workshops, governance assessments, and solution shaping activities, while establishing robust governance around Agentic AI, Responsible AI, and modern enterprise data management.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely (most of the time), onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. Experience moving beyond standard data governance to "new" governance frameworks based on ontologies, graphs, and Agentic AI.
A strong conceptual understanding of graph concepts in governance and how they are utilized within agent-based environments (deep hands-on experience is not strictly required as this is a new field, but grasping the core concepts is essential).
Strong understanding of modern enterprise data ecosystems and governance challenges in AI-driven organizations, including distributed data ownership models, federated governance, and metadata-driven architectures.
Hands-on familiarity with semantic layers, business glossaries, taxonomies, and ontology or knowledge graph approaches such as RDF/OWL and SKOS.
Understanding of cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift, and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, alongside a pragmatic and forward-thinking approach to governance in fast-changing organizations.
Nice to Have
~1 min readFamiliarity with graph databases (e.g., AWS Neptune) and understanding their application in agentic AI contexts.
Experience in consulting or multi-client environments, including support for RFP responses, solution shaping, or proposal development within the Data & AI domain.
Experience with governance and data catalog tools such as Atlan, Collibra, Purview, or Alation, as well as real-world implementation of semantic models, enterprise taxonomies, or domain ontologies.
Familiarity with knowledge graphs, semantic web standards, Responsible AI, or comprehensive AI governance frameworks.
