Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with team members to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the delivered solutions are scalable and perform efficiently. Throughout the day, the engineer collaborates on refining software to meet unique business requirements, continuously enhancing functionality and reliability to support organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
- Assist in documenting software design and development processes to maintain clear project records.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on technical challenges.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Perl Scripts, Shell Scripting, Linux.
- Strong experience in scripting and automation within Linux environments.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Perl.
- Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting software issues in custom applications.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience in integrating software components and third-party programs.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Perl Scripts.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
