Summary:
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – TrakSYS MES with strong hands-on experience in TrakSYS development and MES application delivery. The role will focus on developing, configuring, integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting scalable MES solutions while contributing to technical design and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, enhance, and support Parsec TrakSYS MES applications.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and development tasks.
Design and develop TrakSYS Content Pages, Content Parts, Forms, Workflows, Data Models, Business Logic, Dashboards, and Reports.
Develop and consume REST APIs and Web Services for system integrations.
Develop integrations between TrakSYS and SAP/ERP systems, shop-floor equipment, OPC/Historians, and third-party applications.
Develop and optimize C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server/T-SQL solutions.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution architecture decisions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Support application deployment and production issues across development, test, and production environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, test cases, and support documentation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Contribute to reusable components, automation, CI/CD improvements, and AI-assisted development initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of hands-on MES implementation/support experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Parsec TrakSYS development and configuration.
Strong hands-on programming skills in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and object-oriented programming.
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, Web Services, and system integrations.
Good proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
Hands-on experience with TrakSYS development/configuration across Content Pages, Content Parts, Forms, Workflows, Data Models, Business Logic, Dashboards, and Reports.
Understanding of manufacturing processes including Production, Quality, Inventory, Batch/Recipe Management, and Electronic Data Collection.
Experience with deployment, troubleshooting, and application support.
Working knowledge of IIS, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
Ability to work independently on technical assignments and resolve complex application issues.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
TrakSYS certification or formal TrakSYS training.
Experience in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Chemicals, or Manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of ISA-95 manufacturing standards.
Exposure to cloud technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
Experience mentoring junior developers.
