The position does not allow time for obtaining a new state license, so candidates must already be licensed in the state at the time of submission. The role involves working weekday 8-hour shifts with no in-house call, no pager call on weeknights or weekends, and while overtime is not expected, it is available. The facility runs 20 anesthesia rooms and uses Epic and iPro as its charting systems. CRNAs are supervised by anesthesiologists at a 2:1 CRNA-to-MD ratio. Physicians both supervise and perform their own cases. Case types include general, orthopedic, and obstetric anesthesia. Responsibilities include conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and associated risks, performing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and carrying out clinical interventions as needed. Qualified candidates must hold a current RN license, have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and be certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The estimated privileging timeframe for this position is 60 days. Requirements ● Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) ● Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Illinois ● Minimum of 1–3 years of CRNA experience preferred; proficiency in General, OB and Ortho ● Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team ● BLS and ACLS required; PALS and other advanced certifications as applicable ● Must already have IL license before applying Benefits ● Flexible schedule with locum contract options ● Weekly pay – always on time ● Malpractice insurance coverage provided ● All travel expenses paid (flights, rental car) ● Lodging covered ● Logistics coordinated by Access team ● Credentialing handled start-to-finish by our dedicated credentialing specialists ● Personal Account Specialist assigned to you from the moment you accept an assignment through completion — and even beyond ● Exclusive access to job openings nationwide How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and professional references to info@achcstaffing.org.
