Community Health and Integrated Care (CHIC) is a diverse portfolio within Canberra Health Services, delivering services across aged care, rehabilitation and community settings. The Transitional Therapy and Care Program (TTCP) provides short-term, goal-focused therapy and care services for older people following a hospital stay, supporting them to regain independence and transition safely back to their homes and communities.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Allied Health Assistant Level 3 to join our multidisciplinary TTCP team. In this role, you will work closely with Allied Health Professionals to deliver therapy and care programs that support clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximise their independence.

You will provide high-quality care across a range of settings, including clients' homes, the TTCP Residential Unit and community locations. Using your advanced allied health assistance skills, you will support the delivery of individual and group programs, monitor client progress, and provide timely feedback to clinicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.

This role requires excellent communication skills, initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will enjoy a varied workload and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people.

The position may require flexibility to work across different services and locations, as well as participation in weekend rosters, on-call arrangements and rotational rosters to meet service needs.

Note: This position will be suitable for a suitably experienced AHA who meets the criteria of an AHA3; this is necessary due to the level of autonomy and specific skills required in this role.
