As a Softgoods Product Development Specialist, you will partner closely with the Senior Manager of Product Development to bring products from concept through production, delivery, and fulfillment. You will play a key role in managing product development activities across multiple categories, serving as the primary point of contact with domestic and international suppliers throughout the sample development process. Responsibilities include reviewing product specifications and samples, providing feedback to vendors, monitoring quality, cost, and production timelines, and proactively resolving development challenges. You will maintain product development calendars, work-in-progress reports, and launch documentation to ensure projects remain on track and launch-ready. In addition, you will support purchase order creation, vendor onboarding, product asset management, photography and event sample coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with Design, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales teams. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, project management capabilities, and a passion for delivering premium products that exceed customer expectations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of product development experience within softgoods, apparel, accessories, promotional products, or related consumer product categories.
  • Experience working with product specifications, logo placement, artwork approvals, and product sample development.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, costing, negotiation, forecasting, manufacturing, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Understanding of domestic and international product development and production lead times, as well as the product development lifecycle from design concept through production.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously across various product categories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Visual Merchandising experience preferred.
