Professional Experience: 3–6 years of experience in endpoint management within an MSP, enterprise IT, or similar production environment.
The Endpoint Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting endpoint platforms and tooling across customer environments within the Managed Services organization. This role focuses on endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and automation using centralized management tools. Endpoint Systems Engineers ensure endpoint health, compliance, and performance through proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of tooling and processes.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Endpoint Health Management: Own the health, performance, and compliance of endpoint environments across customer environments.
- →Platform Administration: Manage and maintain endpoint management platforms (MDM/RMM), including Intune and NinjaOne.
- →Patching & Compliance: Monitor and maintain endpoint health, patching, and compliance, ensuring successful deployment and remediation of OS and application updates.
- →Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve endpoint-related issues, including performance, configuration, and policy enforcement problems.
- →Problem Management: Create and manage problem investigations for recurring or complex endpoint issues.
- →Scripting & Automation: Develop, test, and maintain scripts and automation (PowerShell preferred) to support endpoint management and operational efficiency.
- →Tool Integration: Build and maintain integrations between endpoint management tools and other systems (e.g., ITSM, monitoring platforms).
- →Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to resolve cross-system issues impacting endpoints.
- →Documentation: Maintain endpoint configuration standards, policies, and documentation.
- →Change Management: Participate in change management processes for endpoint-related updates and deployments.
- →Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to endpoint management, automation, and operational processes.
- →Time Tracking: Accurately track time and activities within the time tracking system, maintaining a target billable utilization of approximately 70%.
Requirements
~1 min read- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience supporting endpoint management in an MSP, enterprise IT, or similar environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience with endpoint management platforms (Microsoft Intune, MDM solutions) and RMM tools (NinjaOne or similar); experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID device management; Windows endpoint administration and lifecycle management; patch management processes and tools; virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V); strong scripting skills with PowerShell; experience working within ticketing systems and structured support processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; strong documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Language: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certifications: Microsoft, endpoint management, or cloud infrastructure certifications (e.g., VMware VCP) are highly advantageous.
- MSP Experience: Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment with exposure to ITIL-based service delivery models.
- Enterprise Infrastructure: Deep experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies including VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
- Fully remote; employees are expected in-office 1–2 times per month for team engagement activities.
- 4x10 compressed workweek — 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. Offsetting hours is the norm to align with US client time zones.
- After-hours and weekend coverage may be required on occasion.
