The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the System of Care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.
Requirements
~1 min read- Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky
- 2 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Substance abuse experience preferred
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients
- →Member of the Treatment Team.
- →Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing.
- →Ensures Universal Precautions of the center.
- →Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions.
- →Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed course of treatment.
- →Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor.
- →The Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- →Maintain a respectful relationship with clients.
- →Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
- →Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and consumers alike.
- →Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
- →Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- →Have the ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.
- →Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
- →Attention to detail and organization a must.
- →Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.
- →Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- →Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities
