JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Anesthesiology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Richmond, IN • Service Setting: Inpatient Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Dec 14, 2026 - Ongoing • Shift Schedule: 7a-3p; fixed to 8 hrs • Call Schedule: Weekends (selected dates); 7a-7a • Other Info: CRNAs work independently; does not need supervision • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered COVERAGE DATES Dec 22-23 Dec 28 – 31 (no New Years Day) Ongoing in 2027 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult and Pediatric • Patient Volume/Census: • Adults: 9-10/day • Pediatrics: 0-2/day • Trauma: 1-2/month • Case Mix: General, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Vascular, Spine, Obstetric, Thoracic, and other Anesthesia cases FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 220+ Hospital Beds • Trauma Level: Level III • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Broad specialty and subspecialty services • Support Staff Available: CRNA team PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60–90 Days REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General Anesthesia • Cardiac, Epidural, Spinal Anesthesia • Vent Management • C-Lines, A-Lines, PA Catheter • Dialysis Catheter Placement • Chest Tube Insertion • Bronchoscopy • Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker Placement • Transforaminal Cases (Lumbar or Cervical) • Fluoroscopy-Guided Nerve Blocks • Lumbar or Cervical Epidural Steroid Procedures • Post-Operative Epidurals & Extremity Blocks JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: IN or IMLC • Board: BC/BE • DEA: Active • CSR: Active • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Vaccinations: Flu and COVID • Other Qualifications: Procedure Logs (12 months), Attestation Form DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient anesthesiology coverage for scheduled surgical and procedural cases. • Administer adult and pediatric general anesthesia. • Provide cardiac, epidural, spinal, obstetric, thoracic, orthopedic, vascular, and spine anesthesia. • Perform required invasive lines, airway management, regional anesthesia, and other mandatory procedures. • Supervise CRNAs as required. • Provide weekend call coverage as scheduled. • Complete provider order entry and document patient care in Epic. • Enter worked hours through the Vemsta timekeeping platform.
