JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD-3536740 Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Hanover, PA Service Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Jan 17, 2027 – Apr 18, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7am – 3:30pm PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages (usually 1+ years, occasionally under 1 year for ENT tubes and tonsils) Patient Volume/Census: 2-3 weeks per month – M-F Case Mix: Orthopedics (with regional blocks), ENT, General surgery (no cardiac or OB) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: EPIC Support Staff Available: CRNAs Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage – 2-3 weeks per month PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (for urgent needs, non-complex/clean files) Credentialing Timeline: Full compliance due 2 weeks prior to start; within 5 days of signed: SSN, photo, PATCH, child abuse search & DHS fingerprint scheduled; health requirements (vaccines, physical, fit) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Outpatient surgical anesthesia (all specialties except cardiac and OB) Regional blocks for orthopedics (high volume) Medical direction of CRNAs Perform own cases as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: PA license or IMLC LOQ Board: Board Certified in Anesthesiology (will not accept BE) DEA: Required Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS Experience: 2+ years preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide anesthesia care for outpatient surgical cases across multiple specialties Perform regional blocks for orthopedic procedures (high volume) Medically direct CRNAs in a mixed practice model Manage patients of all ages, including pediatric ENT cases (e.g., tubes and tonsils) Cover scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
