JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-NP-134640-1 Profession: NP/PA Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas Coverage Period: Sep 09, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts Hours Per Shift: 12 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 123 patients per day Case Mix: Medium acuity, broad range of emergency medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 32 beds Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Yes – Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, ENT, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Facial Trauma Surgery, Cardiology Support Staff Available: RNs, MDs, APPs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) Licenses: Active AR NP license, AR DEA/CDS, Prescriptive authority DEA / CDS: Active Arkansas DEA/CDS required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required Experience: Prior EM experience required; case logs required Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs, CME/CEU documentation, supervising physician assignment, immunization compliance DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED. Perform emergency procedures as needed (e.g., suturing, splinting, etc.). Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team for patient management. Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR. Participate in observation unit protocols and patient discharge planning.
