JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Greenwood, Mississippi Facility: UMMC Greenwood Leflore Health System: SCP Health - Locums Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Days and Nights (6a–6p / 6p–6a) Hours Per Shift: 12 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 47 patients per day Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Family Medicine (ABFM), or Internal Medicine (ABIM) Licenses: Active MS Medical License, DEA with MS address DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, V Certifications: ACLS (AHA), ATLS, PALS, BLS if not EM boarded Experience: Residency trained in IM or FM, minimum 2 years clinical experience Other Qualifications: CME documentation past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, immunization records (COVID, Flu, Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB test) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide coverage for Emergency Department with 24 physician hours per day. Manage an average of 47 patients per day in a high-volume ED. Work 12-hour shifts including days and nights (6a–6p / 6p–6a). Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality patient care. Adhere to all credentialing and compliance requirements including immunizations and licensing.
