JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-130341 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Marion, Virginia Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 44 patients per day Case Mix: Emergency Medicine procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 44 beds EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, ABMS) or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine (ABMS) Licenses: Active unrestricted VA Medical License and DEA with VA address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 & 5 DEA / CDS: Active DEA with VA address required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM), NRP (for non-ABEM providers) Experience: EM residency trained; new graduates within 12 months considered with 3-month proctorship Other Qualifications: Graduate from accredited 4-year medical school (MD/DO); ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates; Case Logs for last 2 years; CME/CEU with Preeclampsia for initial application DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED Manage 16,000 annual patient volume with 12-hour shifts Supervise and collaborate with mid-level providers (9-hour coverage) Perform emergency procedures as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
