JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-04156 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Fort Mill, SC Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: 24-hour Call On-Call Shift Schedule: In-House call as scheduled Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: 3-5 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Call Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5 patients/day Admissions: 1-2 Rounding: Both Phone Consults: 3-5 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff: RNs: 10 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic), Amniocentesis) Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps) Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations) Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's, Laser certification) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: Licensed in SC Certifications: BLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including low and high-risk pregnancy management. Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including cesarean sections and VBACs. Conduct gynecological surgical procedures, both open and laparoscopic. Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and perform obstetric ultrasounds. Manage in-house call coverage for the OB/GYN department.
