JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Richland, WA Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p Min 2 weeks/month Call Schedule: Nights & Weekends As needed for back up hospital call Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Annual Deliveries: 3000 Average Daily Volume: 20-25 (OP), 5 (IP) GYN Surgeries: 14 % of Practice: Low Risk pregnancy: 35% High Risk pregnancy: 25% C-section: 5% Office GYN: 20% Surgical GYN: 15% FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds: 337; 20 ICU Trauma Level: II NICU Level: III EMR System: Epic Physicians in Practice: 5 Support Staff: 13 APPs, RNs, MA Specialty Backup Available: 1 MFM Lab & Ultrasound onsite REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low & High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds Routine & Complicated delivery Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor GYN Surgical GYN JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: WA License or IMLC DEA: Required Certifications: BLS Experience: Minimum 3 years post-residency (or 2 years with fellowship preferred) Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care across outpatient clinic, hospital OR, and ambulatory surgery center settings Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies, including deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs Perform office and minor gynecology procedures including IUD placement, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP Perform surgical gynecology procedures including open and laparoscopic surgeries Provide clinical consultation, mentorship to newer providers, and backup hospital call coverage
