Travel and lodging to be arranged. PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15-20 patients per day (clinic) Rounding: Both Case Mix: OB/GYN, deliveries, gynecological surgeries FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: MediTech / Athena Support Staff: RNs: 2, MAs: 1, PA/NPs: 3, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE Routine delivery Vaginal Breech Multiple births Abruptions Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP) Surgical gynecology Open Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation) Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Laser certification Preferred Low risk pregnancy OB Ultrasounds (Performance of, interpretation) Level I/Screening (viability) Level II/Targeted (anatomic) Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery C-section VBAC's JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Certified required Licenses: Licensed in IA or Universal License (IMLC) DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS Fellowship: Preferred Other Qualifications: Active Iowa Medicaid preferred (as confirmed in bid); EMR proficiency (MediTech, Athena) Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric care including deliveries, c-sections, and management of high-risk pregnancies. Perform gynecologic procedures in office and surgical settings (e.g., IUD placement, colposcopy, laparoscopy). Cover clinic hours Monday through Friday, seeing 15‑20 patients per day with support from NPs and nursing staff. Participate in rotating call schedule (10‑14 day stretches) managing labor and delivery, emergency consults, and surgical back-up. Collaborate with transferring facilities for NICU-level patients requiring Life Flight to Iowa City or Des Moines.
