JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Primary Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Richmond, VA Service Setting: Community Health Center Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Sep 07, 2026 – Dec 28, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p (extended hours until 7p on Mon/Tue) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages (Family Medicine) Patient Volume/Census: 25 patients per day (MD), 20 patients per day (APPs) JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Virginia license DEA: DEA registration required Experience: Completion of an approved family practice residency DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Performs physical examinations and orders diagnostic tests Interprets examination findings and test results, and implements treatment plans Provides comprehensive, continuing health maintenance and medical care to the entire family unit Participates in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training Instructs other healthcare providers and non-medical personnel on health-related topics
