Adelphi is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide in-person services to elementary school students at a school setting in Fauquier County, Virginia. The ideal candidates will support students with disabilities who participate primarily in general education curriculum and setting, and will collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, and other members of the IEP team to provide individualized instruction,modifications,and support in accordance with student IEPs,established guidelines, and school procedures. Responsibilities: • Provide special education support to elementary students accessing the general education curriculum. • Support students with disabilities primarily within the general education classroom setting. • Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students’ identified needs. • Work with students in the special education classroom as needed to address specific IEP goals. • Implement students’ IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports. • Collaborate with general education teachers to support students’ participation and progress in the general curriculum. • Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student learning needs. • Monitor and document student progress toward established IEP goals. • Participate in IEP-related meetings and collaborate with school staff and other members of the student support team. • Any other duties as assigned.
