JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant Specialty: NP/PA - Urgent Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Locations: New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Windham, Tolland, Hartford and Litchfield Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 – Feb 28, 2027 Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: Minor emergencies, injuries, illnesses Phone Consults: No PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Suturing / Wound Care / Incision & Draining Splinting X-Ray / EKG interpretation Phlebotomy Pediatric care (all ages) Working independently JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active CT license required DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS or PALS Experience: Total years of experience and most recent experience required Other Qualifications: Ability to travel at least 45 minutes, split day between two locations, amenable to last-minute changes DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages Perform suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, splinting Interpret X-rays and EKGs Work independently and manage patient volume efficiently Travel between locations as needed
