JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-67913 Profession: Physician Specialty: Vascular & Interventional Radiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Lansing, Michigan Service Setting: Hospital Based Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7a – 5p Call Schedule: Nights; 5p-7a Weekends: 24-hr call (7a-7a) Call Ratio: 1:3 COVERAGE DATES Nov 14, 2026 – Nov 15, 2026 Dec 07, 2026 – Dec 12, 2026 Dec 21, 2026 – Dec 27, 2026 Ongoing coverage, 2 weeks/month for 2027 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Primarily Adult, Geriatric frequent Average Daily Volume: 8 Case Mix: Interventional Radiology (Angioplasty, Stent, Embolization, Biopsy, Thrombolysis, UFE) plus Ortho, Gyn, Urology FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level I Support Staff Available: Manager, 2 APPs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days (expedited possible) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Angioplasty Stent placement Embolization Needle biopsy Thrombolysis UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in Interventional Radiology Licenses: Active Michigan License (IMLC not accepted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Other Qualifications: Local provider preferred; clean malpractice & license history (preferred); NPDB self-query required Duties & Responsibilities Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and UFE. Provide hospital-based IR services during day shifts (Mon–Fri, 7a–5p). Participate in Q3 call coverage (weekdays and weekends). Collaborate with 2 APPs and other IR physicians. Manage adult and geriatric patient populations.
