Data Consultant

As a Data Consultant at adesso, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients unlock the full potential of their data. This position requires a professional who not only understands the intricacies of data management but also excels in project management and business development. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between technical data solutions and business objectives, enabling our customers to make informed, data-driven decisions.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored data management and strategic solutions.

• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present findings, and recommend actionable strategies.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

• Lead and manage data management projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.

• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to achieve project goals.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and other consultants, to deliver comprehensive data solutions.

• Provide insights and guidance on data governance, data strategy, and data architecture to ensure best practices are followed.

• Conduct assessments of existing data management processes and recommend improvements.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve service delivery.

• Identify potential use cases and generate leads through strategic networking.

• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to attract new customers.

• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives.

• Adapt to different project requirements and customer environments, with flexibility in approach and execution.

• Embrace a continuous learning mindset to respond effectively to evolving business challenges.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a data environment in a role such as a data analyst, consultant with a focus on data management, or similar together with at least 2 years of work experience at a top consultancy firm in Belgium in roles such as Consultant, Project Manager, or similar.

• Fluent in Dutch/French and English, written and spoken.

• Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.

• Sales skills with the ability to drive business growth.

• In-depth understanding of data management concepts, including data governance and data strategy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
