Responsibilities

→Ability to work with multiple functions within Adient (Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) and influence without direct authority
→Clear understanding of supplier terms and conditions
→Ability to negotiate (tactics, techniques, and strategies)
→Evaluate cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost
→Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside / outside the company and to interact with the team to reach team goals and business objectives
→Ability to recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency
→Ability to gather information, analyze data, prepare and lead negotiations as well as deliver a recommendation
→Ability to summarize complex issues and communicate to all levels of management
→Ability to be successful working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
→Some travel may be required

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of Automotive Purchasing experience required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
