Supports manufacturing production issue resolution.
Leads product safety technical risk assessment.
Oversees & checks technical project execution.
Communicates technical status and resolution plans internally & externally.

Responsibilities

Leads the team of product & resident engineers (Plymouth, Pune, manufacturing locations):

→Represents the structures engineering team.
- →Facilitates communication in internal & customer reviews.
- →Guides & reviews technical issue summary documentation.
- →Leads critical issue containment & problem-solving activity.
- →Escalates critical issues.
- →Communicates directly with manufacturing locations, Adient structural analysis engineers, Adient product safety, Adient engineering leadership, Adient business units, and OEM customer engineers.
→Supervises the team:
- →Facilitates team engagement.
- →Provides performance feedback.
- →Flexes and leverages available resources.
- →Provides mentorship & development opportunities.
- →Implements company & department initiatives.
→Responsible for the team’s technical work product:
- →Guides issue containment & resolution.
- →Guides issue prevention and deliverable completion.
- →Identifies and documents lessons learned.
- →Approves drawings.
- →Approves engineering deliverables.

Collaborates

→Works with manufacturing to enable efficient mass production.
→Works with business unit engineering leaders to ensure team focus & collaboration.
→Engages organizational experts for specialized expertise.

Checks

→Product engineering integrity:
- →Possesses strong engineering analysis skills and ability to apply to product engineering.
→Product manufacturing feasibility based on manufacturing knowledge of:
- → Component manufacturing; Stamping, tube bending, wire forming
- →Assembly processes; welding (laser, GMAW, projection), bolting, rivet forming, general assembly.
