Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe's all about. We give everyone, from emerging artists to global brands, everything they need to compose and deliver exceptional digital experiences. We're passionate about empowering people to craft beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.
Join the Brands engineering team within Adobe Cloud Platform and Collaboration (ACPC). We're building Brands as a platform, not a feature: a shared set of services and interfaces that any Adobe surface - Illustrator, Firefly, Adobe Home, GenStudio - or any third-party AI agent can use to bring brand intelligence into their product.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Architect solutions that let new surfaces - 1P Adobe apps and 3P AI agents alike - consume Brands capabilities without requiring the team to ship custom integration work for each one
- →Resolve system problems of high complexity; lead development reviews and provide constructive critical feedback on designs across the team
- →Drive AI-first architecture decisions — from how brand data is structured for LLM consumption to how tools and skills are published through MCP for agentic workflows
- →Align technical direction across Illustrator, Firefly, Oasis, Adobe Home, and 3P integration partners on cross-surface initiatives
- →Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the Brands platform roadmap
- →Mentor engineers on design, programming, and AI-assisted development practices; grow others' technical leadership
- →Provide technical recommendations to senior leadership and influence hiring decisions for the team
- →Proactively identify gaps in requirements at the platform level and propose solutions that hold up across many consuming surfaces
- →Apply secure programming practices and drive performance optimization across services shared by multiple surfaces
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/work experience
- 10+ years of full stack development experience, with deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL
- Experience with AI/LLM-integrated systems — tool-calling, MCP or similar agent-tool protocols, or building services designed for AI agent consumption
- Proficient using AI tools and concepts to enhance productivity, and experienced guiding others in effective AI-assisted development
- Experience owning full system designs and architectural decisions with organization-wide or cross-Business-Unit impact
- Experience defining APIs and service contracts consumed by many downstream teams or products
- Demonstrated ability to establish engineering standards (code quality, testing, DevOps) that other engineers adopt
- History of resolving highly complex, ambiguous technical problems with minimal guidance or structure
- Strong track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without formal management authority
- Excellent communication skills; able to represent technical trade-offs to senior and executive team members
