Responsible for the review and preparation of scheduled contract documents in accordance with department policy. This position manages specific contracts related to supplier relationship and performance, issue resolution, updates to the contract, and interaction with the field. Additionally, this role collaborates with sourcing managers, corporate associates, materials managers, hospital staff, the legal department, and suppliers to complete or enhance contracts. In addition, this position ensures contracts meet the needs of stakeholders. Contributes to the overall improvement of contract management processes and supplier performance.

  • Processes scheduled supply, services, or equipment categories for analysis and contract awards, completing all necessary steps and paperwork.
  • Initiates tasks related to contract award decisions, reviews data analysis, and determines contract strategy with the supplier.
  • Negotiates contract pricing and terms for contracts.
  • Utilizes data analytics to compare expected results to actual outcomes.
  • Engages suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing and performance. Researches questions from hospitals and affiliates on contracts, products, services, equipment, pricing, and distribution.
  • Engages appropriate resources for assistance as needed.
  • Communicates accurate and appropriate responses to inquiries.
  • Ensures contracts meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with sourcing managers, corporate associates, materials managers, hospital staff, the legal department, and suppliers to complete or enhance contracts.
  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contract terms to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Manages supplier relationships and performance, addressing issues and updates to contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing [Required]
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite [Required]
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects [Required]
  • Highly developed attention to detail [Required]
  • Knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and the execution of business and legal requirements that protect the organization [Required]
  • Broad knowledge of business, financial, and performance terms related to completing effective contracts [Required]
  • Demonstrated ability to review data, identify opportunity or error, and effectively act on those results [Required]
  • Thorough knowledge of products, services and equipment used in the healthcare sector and the suppliers in these spaces [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, or related field
  • 3+ previous experience in healthcare or supply chain of 3+ years [Preferred]
  • Contract Management experience [Preferred]
