• Facilitates both individual and group tutoring sessions based on curriculum needs.

• Creates and maintains a tutoring schedule convenient for both the student and the tutor.

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of each tutoring session.

• Maintains strict confidentiality of all student information, materials, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.

• Performs front desk activities including answering the phone, scheduling, and record keeping in the absence of the Tutor Coordinator.

• Provides motivation for learning and acts as a role model for peers.

• Uses appropriate equipment and resources to stimulate subject knowledge.

• Coordinates with the program coordinator to ensure tutoring sessions are appropriate.

• Answers students' questions on course content and provides study strategies.

• Develops and implements learning strategies to enhance student learning.

• Assists students in developing effective learning strategies and improving critical thinking skills.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency and knowledge in tutoring course(s) of interest [Required]

• Successfully completed course(s) of interest with a grade of B or higher

• Recommendation form or letter from either an instructor, teacher, professor, academic chair, employer, or volunteer supervisor to tutor a General Education course

• Recommendation form or letter from a AS/BS Professional Program Instructor or Chair to tutor a AS or BS Professional Program course
