  • Drive patient satisfaction by rounding on patients and nursing staff, actively listening to concerns, and resolving meal-related issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Deliver meals and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and dietary guidelines, including isolation and diabetic tray procedures.
  • Assist patients with the meal ordering system, offering non-clinical guidance on modified diets and ensuring selections align with prescribed nutrition plans.
  • Support foodservice operations by performing tasks such as stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, preparing food items, and operating dishroom equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by using proper sanitation techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Data Entry and general computer knowledge including e-mail [Required]
• Language Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, families and associates of the organization. [Required]
• Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, and percent. [Required]
• Computer Skills:
• Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospital’s admission, Food Service computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records. [Required]
• Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. [Required]
• Physical Demands:
• The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
