What We Offer
~1 min read- Ensures patient comfort and safety during care activities.
- Monitors and reports patient progress to health professionals.
- Assists Home Health patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and personal care.
- Helps Home Health patients with instrumental activities of daily living including meal preparation, grocery shopping, housework, laundry, and telephone use.
- Provides orientation and training for newly hired staff.
- Maintains accurate patient records and adheres to care protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be proficient in the English language. [Required]
- Reliable transportation. [Required]
- Must be able to read and write in English. [Required]
- Demonstrates basic computer skills. [Required]
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements [Preferred].
- Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick. [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. [Required]
- Ability to follow directions and deal effectively with job demands. [Required]
- Successful completion of a Home Health Aide competency evaluation. [Required]
- Demonstrated knowledge of home health aide services/tasks. [Required]
- Problem-solving abilities. [Requored]
- Positive interpersonal communication skills. [Required]
- Team and customer service oriented. [Required]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Technical/Vocational School [Required]
- Completion of a minimum of seventy-five (75) hours of documented home health aide training with at least sixteen (16) hours of supervised practical training by a qualified RN covering essential care skills and knowledge areas.
- 1+ employment experience as a nurse's aide in an institutional setting. [Required]
- Home Care experience [Preferred]
- N/A
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
- Driver's License (DL) [Required]
- Auto Insurance (AL) [Required]
- Home Health Aide (HHAIDE) [Required] OR Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]
