Schedule:
PRNAs an Intake Planner, you'll play a vital role in connecting individuals to behavioral health services. You'll serve as one of the first points of contact for patients, families, providers, and community partners seeking psychiatric and substance use treatment. This position coordinates admissions, completes intake and insurance verification processes, and helps ensure patients receive timely access to the appropriate level of care across the Behavioral Health Assessment Center (BHAC), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), Inpatient Admissions (IA), and Outpatient Community Support Services (OP CSS).

Coordinate patient access and admissions across BHAC, IOP, BHU, IA, and OP CSS.

Serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health and substance use treatment services.

Conduct telephone triage for community and crisis calls, assessing patient needs and facilitating appropriate placement.

Coordinate new patient admissions and provide program orientation.

Verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and communicate with managed care organizations.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Follow up with patients regarding appointments, admissions, and missed visits.

Maintain accurate patient records, databases, reports, and charge entry documentation.

Protect patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Demonstrate sound judgment, excellent customer service, and effective de-escalation techniques while supporting patients and families during challenging situations.
Education:

Licenses and Certifications:
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required.
Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
