Utilizes various external applications to perform licensure and enrollment duties for hospitals and non-hospital-based providers. Other duties as assigned. Creates, maintains, and organizes electronic records of licensure and enrollment files. Communicates with fiscal intermediaries, state, and federal agencies as directed. Obtains and provides required information to external parties in a timely manner. Updates internal licensure and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment inventories to provide a comprehensive listing of supported facilities. Monitors and updates project status listings for licensure and enrollment, including new projects and facility construction. Evaluates new and existing licenses and enrollment applications to determine necessary information from internal and external sources. Assists with the creation and submission of licensure and enrollment applications, including renewals and updates. Investigates and tracks progress of required applications and other regulatory items throughout the submission process. Actively participates in group meetings and discussions where regulatory opinion is sought and provided. Assures license and enrollment approvals are distributed to key stakeholders. Requests and tracks payments to regulatory agencies for bed additions, new offsite locations, and changes in services or programs. Tracks status of license and enrollment renewals and revalidations for various healthcare locations.

  • Strong project management skills (providing updates, ability to follow-through and achieve execution of department/organizational priorities) [Required]

  • Ability to work and learn independently, develop new ideas, maintain flexibility and meet deadlines [Required]

  • Proficiency in email, calendar, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software (e.g. Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) [Required]
  • Knowledge and understanding of health care regulations and regulatory reporting requirements [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of PECOS Medicare Enrollment System [Preferred]
  • In-depth knowledge and ability to navigate AdventHealth’s multiple information systems [Preferred]
  • Must be a team-oriented, self-motivated professional with leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • in health law, healthcare administration, business, communications or other related or approved field.
  • 3+ of work experience in hospital compliance, health information, patient registration or patient billing operations; or another related field [Preferred]
  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare compliance, healthcare regulations or Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollment. [Preferred]
  • National Notary Association Notary Public (NNANP) [Preferred]
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) [Preferred]
