Schedule: Part Time (16 hours a week)

Shift: Days

• →Supports other consultants as needed. Participates in community education opportunities regarding breastfeeding, research projects, speaking engagements, and other company committees.
• →Keeps supplies clean and orderly according to policy and reports any needed supplies or educational materials to the supervisor.
• →Greets all patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• →Exemplifies AdventHealth’s core values of Keep Me Safe, Make It Easy, Love Me, and Own It through behavior.
• →Conducts rounds on the maternal/infant units and other units with lactating mothers, evaluating and encouraging the nursing dyad by providing support and professional advice.

• Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques that are central to the profession [Required]
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

• 1+ acute care hospital [Preferred]
• 2+ maternity or newborn experience [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) [Required] OR International Board
• Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) [Required]
•  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
