• The AdventHealth Altamonte Oncology/Multisystem PCU unit has 36 large rooms with state-of-the-art private rooms with cardiac monitoring capability, which were designed with direct input from the clinical staff.

• We function as a multisystem PCU, this allows for a more diverse population which provides nurses with advancement in their critical thinking and hands on clinical skills.

• We are a dedicated team with complementary strengths, united by a shared purpose—providing exceptional care to our Oncology patients.   Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

  Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

  Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

  Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

  Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
