• →Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating AdventHealth’s commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
• →Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel.
• →Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs.
• →Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to AdventHealth policies.
• →Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety.
• →Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills [Required]
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required]
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit [Required]
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills [Required]
• EKG competency testing (based on patient population) [Required]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

• 1+ experience in a specialty area(s) [Preferred]
• Prior exposure to surgical services is preferred

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
